Yes, we scan albums... of course we do. Whether the album needs to have images removed (we can do it, or you can save money by doing it yourself), or if the album is too delicate to remove the photos, we can still preserve your images digitally.
Examples of albums that can't be taken apart? We've scanned photos from the early 1900s and even the late 1800s that were in surprisingly good condition, but in no way should they have been taken apart; not a problem. Some albums have images literally pasted into them and to remove those images would damage or destroy the images; not a problem, we can scan that, too. And, sometimes, the adhesive from albums that is meant to be light adhesive, transforms over time. Some will deteriorate into nothingness which means pictures just fall out of the albums. This is common and can actually help with speeding up the process of getting the photos out of the albums. The other way it can go, though, is that the adhesive can somehow become even stronger over time. This essentially makes them the equivalent of the albums where photos were pasted into them. We can scan those, too.
